I often get asked where my inspiration for the trees I carve comes from - the answer is simple - the trees are real and I find them in various locations in Canada!    My inner desire to stay connected with the natural world often takes me hiking, kayaking or driving in remote areas of Ontario where I look for trees with intersting shapes, unique character and personality.   At times the locations are quite inaccessible, so I've taken to adding the GPS coordinates of the actual tree - the GPS location is included on the gift card that comes with each tree.
